I was thinking about life, refrigerators and closets. If your closet is too small, it becomes difficult to find anything. If you get a big enough closet, organization becomes possible. Add a dresser, and it further simplifies everything. The more space you have, the easier it gets. Now, imagine you just went grocery shopping. If you have a mini-fridge, it’s a challenge just fitting the perishables into it. You have to make choices, decide what really has to be refrigerated and what doesn’t. A larger fridge simplifies it. Now I was thinking about how this idea of bigger making things less complicated applies to living. A bigger house isn’t the answer. It’s more people. The bigger your friend and family circle is, the easier life gets. Whether it’s someone to help you carry the groceries or someone to give the clothes you don’t wear to, people to give advice or encouragement, it’s more people that makes life easier. I’ve spent the past three days completely alone, my voice sounds foreign when I talk to the pets I’m taking care of. It was easier when the kids were here, changing the chicken water, feeding the dogs. I’m glad it’s only temporary. If your life seems too hard, consider adding some more people. I think I’m on to something. Or if you can’t stand people, just buy a bigger fridge, I’m fairly certain that will help, too.
